We are three plant enthusiasts that decided to turn their hobby into a start-up. Our belief is that plants do not need to travel half the globe to become your flat companion. Our approach is to sustainably populate and grow plants locally. We focus on species that we find particularly interesting and apply the latest grow technologies to ensure your plants grow into strong, long-lasting friends without wasting resources.

Matheus
I used to live near the Atlantic forest and saw many aroids (like monsteras) growing in the wild – they are still my favorite. I do research on microbiology and plants are my hobby alongside with dancing. I am intrigued how individual plants are – there is always a new variation to explore and a different way on how to treat them best. For WowBotanics I manage plant propagation, our website and social media.
Peter
My interest in plants shaped what I wanted to do with my life: I have spent the last years researching the effects of rare plants used in traditional African medicine. I influenced Matheus and Thomas with my passion for special species. For WowBotanics I take care of plant selection, growing approaches and the health of the plants.
My favorite species at the moment is the variegated banana.
Thomas
I have a business background and Peter is my twin brother.
When we were kids he got us the climbing onion (Bowiea volubilis) from a local botanical garden.
That’s been my favorite plant ever since.
For WowBotanics I am in charge of the business side of things and make sure technology helps us to keep our plants happy and healthy.
